This Isn’t The Big Lie, I’ll Explain The Big Lie In a Minute

“The Obama administration appears to be using fuzzy math to count the number of jobs created by the $787 billion stimulus package, according to two analyses that show counters included pay raises and hours worked as actual jobs.”

So here is the original number and how it works out:

787 billion divided by 640 000 = $1, 229,687.5 price per job

Here is the new number and how it works out:

787 billion divided by 620. 000 = $1, 269,354.84 price per job

So the difference between $1, 229,687.5 and $1, 269,354.84 isn’t that much only.  It’s only $39667.34 and not that much compared to the price of the usual shit the government finds ways to waste money on.  No the real problem is that we spent 787 billion dollars to save/create  620,000 jobs at a coast of about 2624 dollars per person in the US. on about 0.02% of the US population.  Before you start complaining about my numbers I used 300 million as the US population just to make it simple the population is a couple million higher than that.

The big lie is that this was supposed to stimulate the economy, it hasn’t done shit, a lot of money did go to help Obama’s friends and his donners but the jobless rate keeps increasing, it’s over 10% the last time I checked meaning we lost a lot more jobs than we have saved.  That is the big lie, the BS we just spent 787 billion on and got shit for.

This Is Not Going To Work

So what happens if people don’t pay the 167 billion?  Wouldn’t the system collapse for lack of funds?  If you are going to create something you might want to make sure you can pay for it.  Yes it would be nice if everyone paid for their own health insurance, but if you are hoping that you can pay for this with people who don’t have it you might want to make sure that they can’t get it or the funds are going to dry up.  Granted this could just be a sick way to end up forcing everyone into a single payer government-run program but the government would never try to do that would they?

This kind of gets rid of the whole “Freedom of Speech” thing doesn’t it. While I don’t think that people need to go around trying to offend someones religious sensibilities you have every right to do so. Everyone has things they do or do not agree with the point of Free Speech is to hold up peoples ideas to the public so they can be debated and then condemned or confirmed by peoples own personal choice. Once you start regulating what a person is or isn’t allowed to say you are going to have problems. How are we supposed to properly air our grievances with the government or society if we are not free to express our ideas? If you don’t like what someone is saying you have every right to express your disagreement but not the right to silence them. You are also not forced to listen to them if you don’t want to. If you don’t like the film that someone is going to make then either make your own to counter his argument or just don’t watch the thing. True Free Speech puts no obligation on anyone other then the speaker to support and defend his views in the public square and he really doesn’t even have to do that. He has the right to talk we have the right to talk back or laugh at the guy.  Freedom of speech means we have to accept that it is a persons right to speech and ideas even for ones we despise.

You do not have to read this web site if you don’t want to, as I have no right nor does the government have the right to force you to read it. That is Free Speech. There can be no limits, other the the whole “yelling fire in a crowded room” argument. So unless we are going to say that Muslims cannot possibly control themselves and therefore any slight against them real or imaginary no matter how small or pointless is the cause of the violence, refuse to hold the individuals responsible for there own actions, then this is therefore the same as “yelling fire in a crowded room”.  If you are going to use this argument against free speech then I will use the argument that they should all be put in a crazy house.

This is proof that we need more Speech not less, and if you can’t come to the table and play nice why the hell should we listen to anything you have to say. These are the same people that have no problem making racist and derogatory cartoons and T.V. shows about the Jews, or every other religion but it’s not cool when some one does it to you? Fuck your hypocrisy! You want to threaten us with violence if we don’t agree with you? Try it and see who has more guns and bombs! Really I’m not about to cower at the insane ranting of fanatics that are stuck in the 7th century.

Saudi King Calls for End to Islamic Extremism?

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Islam must do away with the dangers of extremism and present the religion’s positive message, Saudi King Abdullah said Wednesday as he opened a conference of Muslim figures aimed at launching a dialogue with Christians and Jews.

Really well I guess it is about time. So are we going to have this “Interfaith Dialogue” in Saudi Arabia a country where it is illegal to own a copy of the Bible or Torah? Because if we are going to do this and you can’t even bring the religious texts of your particular faith into the country it’s doesn’t sound like we are going to get a lot accomplished. Furthermore while this could (doubtful) be a good step forward we might want to include representative of Buddhism and Hinduism the other two largest faiths on the planet, perhaps the Sikhs they are usually decent fellows, to help turn this into a global discussion of religion and the hope of true religious freedom.

How about this maybe if you really want some meaningful dialogue to start and actually accomplish something why don’t you open up diplomatic relations with Israel and acknowledge their right to exist. Maybe I’m crazy but it might help to show that you are serious about this rather then just using this as a publicity stunt to make yourself look better without having to do anything really meaningful about the issue, like allowing the “Freedom of Religion” in your own country. I know getting to the 21st century might take some time but you should at least try to be at the 19th or 20th by now.

Look I am not going to condemn the Saudi king outright because he may truly be trying for real religious reconciliation and peace. There is know way for me know what is in his heart, however if you look at the conditions in the country he runs it does give me pause.

We can always hope but I’m not going to hold my breath.
