Central Connecticut State University and the harassment of Students by their professors.

gun_free_zoneGoing to college it’s a good place to learn a few things, if you have Professor Paula Anderson for a  teacher you will find out what a vindictive raving maniac that doesn’t understand the 1st or 2nd Amendment is!  You will also find out that if you do have Professor Anderson or someone like her you will most likely have the cops called on you for thoughtcrimes the second you say something they don’t like.

“A professor in Connecticut reported one of her students to the police after he gave a class presentation on why students and teachers should be allowed to carry concealed weapons on campus. Now, free speech activists say the professor’s actions are what really need to be investigated.”

So a student gave a presentation on conceal carry permits and how they could help keep the campus safe and the teacher calls the cops on him because he is dangerous?

“Last October, John Wahlberg and two classmates at Central Connecticut State University gave an oral presentation for a communications class taught by Professor Paula Anderson. The assignment was to discuss a “relevant issue in the media,” and the students presented their view that the death toll in the April 2007 Virginia Tech shooting massacre would have been lower if professors and students had been carrying guns.

That night, police called Wahlberg, a 23-year-old senior, and asked him to come to the station. When he arrived, they they read off a list of firearms that were registered in his name and asked where he kept them. Guns are strictly prohibited on the CCSU campus and residence halls, but Wahlberg says he lives 20 miles off-campus and keeps his gun collection locked up in a safe. No further action was taken by police or administrators…

According to The Recorder, Anderson cited safety as her reason for calling the police.

“It is also my responsibility as a teacher to protect the well-being of our students, and the campus community at all times,” she told The Recorder. “As such, when deemed necessary because of any perceived risks, I seek guidance and consultation from the Chair of my Department, the Dean and any relevant University officials.”

Not only did the teacher think he was dangerous but the Dean and the Department Chair thought it was a good idea to call the cops on a student for a speech, a speech where he was talking about trying to protect people.  Last time I checked you have to go through a thorough background check to get a conceal carry permit.  That and the last time a gunman who had one went nuts on a collage campus killing a bunch of people that had a conceal carry permit was, NEVER!

OK so how many of the students in that class felt threatened because of John’s little speech?  None.  The only person that thought someone arguing for the legal ability to carry a firearm on campus was dangerous was Anderson.  Is she insane?  Really the kid was arguing that people with legal permits to carry a gun would make the campus safer from crazy people because they would have the ability to stop someone from murdering a ton of people.  He was trying to make the campus safer, now you can disagree with his theory but it doesn’t make him dangerous.

This is nothing more than some teacher with an agenda trying to make a students life miserable for the crime of having a different opinion on the subject.  This teacher tried to use the police to destroy the students Right to Free Speech because she doesn’t like his right to Keep and Bare Arms.  Any other  parts of the Bill of Rights you don’t like Professor Anderson?  The kid didn’t have a weapon on campus he didn’t do anything but state his opinion and for that the teacher  called the cops.  The worst thing is she is still teaching there, no repercussions   she just goes no with her life and the College just sweeps it under the rug.  It’s perfectly for domestic  terrorists like William Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn to be college professors but if a student says something a professor doesn’t agree with they call the cops on him.  These are state schools, that use taxpayer money to intimidate students!  If professors are willing to call the cops on you for having a different point of view with them what do you think they are going to do to your grade?
The State of Connecticut gave  John Wahlberg a carry permit, the Sate apparently felt that John was not a risk to the public but for some reason a speech teacher though he was a danger to the public because he advocated legal firearms use for the defense of himself and of others.  Am I the only one who thinks that is insane?

Do you want to know why people target schools when they want to go on a killing spree?  It’s because they know people don’t have the means to protect themselves because they are unarmed.  How many times does someone go on a killing spree at a gun show, or target range?  Never because they are going to get shot the second they try it.  Why?  Because people have the means to defend themselves.  Chicago has a total ban on ban guns and yet somehow more Americans have been shot at killed with hand guns in Chicago than died in Iraq and Afghanistan last year, and there is a war going on over there!  Background checks help keep criminals from getting guns in gun stores but they do not keep criminals from getting guns on the street, the place they already get their guns at.  I do believe in background checks for gun sales and for carry permits but all most gun laws do is make it harder for law abiding citizens to buy guns while the criminal always can get a gun whenever he wants.

Here kids have Professor Paula Anderson email address and explain to her the Bill of Rights:
