Finally, Real Journalism… Wait, Never Mind

There is a lot going on in the world and it it the news medias job to let us know so we can be informed on what is going on around us.  It’s their job to give us the stories and facts that are relevant in the world today.  This is not one of them:

Seriously, this is news, this should be news?  What the goat fucking hell is wrong with you?!  CNN is fact-checking an SNL skit?  Since when has any real news organization ever fact checked an SNL skit?  It’s humor you morons!  Are you that much in the tank for Obama that you need to jump on SNL for making jokes about the guy?  Where were you when SNL did jokes about Bush, McCain, the Clintons, Sara Palin, or any politician?  What you didn’t, why start now?  Don’t get me wrong I don’t bring up the other people because I think CNN should have fact-checked all the other political SNL skits, they shouldn’t be doing it at all.  It’s humor it’s either funny or it isn’t, and while good humor always has a grain of truth in it, it’s not supposed to be 100% accurate it’s supposed to be funny.  And while you can be funny and 100% accurate at times doesn’t mean you always have to be, exaggeration is part of humor because it’s comical.  The real reason this BS CNN report was done was because it hit a little too close to home, and we can’t have people laughing at the Obamessiah now can we?

Watch the skit, laugh or don’t, and if you are a journalist and this is what you are worried about shoot yourself.

I hate it here…

  1. I guess that this is one of the reasons that people are tuning out …

  2. I thought the skit was funny after all being close to the truth is what makes things funny. If I made a joke about space alien monkey’s running the white house through Obama people would just think I was weird. Things have to have some truth in them to be funny but the fact that it’s not “100% accurate” is what makes it funny. If it was 100% accurate it would be sad for liberals and maddening for conservatives and not funny to anybody.

The sad commentary on this though is CNN and the state of media.

  3. Can be sure CNN discovered some news by fact checking the “checklist” of what didn’t get done. It was very good bit. Especailly, since CNN or any new organization doesn’t report news anymore. They show up at car crashes, tornadoes, or the fancy trips to exotic places to be with the newsmakers. Haven’t seen any news for years.
